6.26.25 || 90 minute Big Feelings: breathwork + writing for being with it all
This recording is from a virtual workshop on June 26th 2025. This session works with being with all the big feelings through an embodied breathwork practice and writing prompts.
With so much crumbling and unraveling, big feelings make a whole lot of sense. But how do we really be with the big feelings? So often— when we feel a big feeling— our limiting, habituated breath patterns automatically kick in— to “manage” it, push it down, to so that we can continue about our day. But what happens when we intentionally breathe with and through big feelings— like grief, fear, anger, even ecstatic joy? What becomes available to us when we honor what we are feeling through staying with our breath?
Utilizing the somatic practice of working with breath and body and the embodied practice of writing, we will find our way through the murky maze of this being alive thing, this being human thing. We will welcome the big feelings as the messengers they are. By welcoming them, breathing with them, feeling them with a capital-F— we might just find a little more clarity, a little more space, a little more presence— growing some strong roots to help anchor us in this beautiful and complex world.
You have a lot of agency in this practice, get to choose how to be in right relationship with your breath, with my gentle and steady support.
