Fresh Milky Oat Tops Tincture OR Oxymel OR Glycerite

from $20.00

For just a short time each summer the unripe seeds of milky oat tops (aka avena sativa) are in their prime especially for us humans who are quite often running on empty or burning the candle from both ends. Known for being deep, moistening, nourishing food for the nervous system, when tinctured at this peak moment, you can count on the gentle but powerful support of the vitamins and minerals of milky oats.

An ally to help stabilize your nervous system in times of over-exertion, depletion, or exhaustion, you might notice better sleep, less anxiety, decrease in tension headaches, an increase in energy, and a reduction in anger and exhaustion.

In short— deep relief from the flutter and burst of constant or ongoing stress. Bringing balance, it’s a balm for when we find ourselves emotionally and physically at extremes. It’s also a powerful ally for restoring the adrenals and nervous system after periods of over-reliance or misuse of substances like alcohol, tobacco, opiates and caffeine or other things used to excess. I can really feel this plants deep care for us humans who still have yet to learn the lessons in finding balance. Lessons plants know intuitively.

Oats are hearty and can survive and even thrive in less desirable temperatures and soil. Energetically, it helps us find our way back to the path we are meant to travel. It’s a really beautiful tincture to take daily as you restore your body from the inside out.

Please choose size and then choose between three preparations:

  • Note on Contraindications: Some herbs do have contraindications. Best to research before working with any plant.

The oat tops are grown by small, organic farmers and do not come into contact with any gluten. The vodka is distilled (multiple times) vodka and because of that, is gluten free. I’ve not heard of any reactions from people over the years (and have worked with many people who can not take risks with gluten) and I, myself, am now gluten free because of a health diagnosis. I’ve done a lot of research on whether vodka in general is fully gluten free or not and my understanding is that because of the distillation process, it all is— unless there is flavoring or colors or other things added. Of course-- if someone is navigating extreme gluten intolerance or celiac, might make sense to try and start slowly and if you notice any reactions, to avoid.

If you are on medications, experience complex health conditions, or are pregnant and/or breast/chest feeding, please do check in with a trusted medical provider or research to make sure these plants are ok for you before use.
